Pete Donnell started out in IT by teaching himself C++ while studying theoretical physics at Imperial College. In 2006 he began tinkering with Linux servers in his spare time while working on a PhD in maths at UCL. After completing his thesis in early 2009, he founded Kitson Consulting with Joe Parker and taught himself PHP, web development, Python, SQL, and other programming and systems administration skills. In addition to leading the team at Kitson Consulting, he has worked as a research fellow at the University of Portsmouth and West Virginia University, specialising in chemical reaction network theory. His main interests outside of maths and IT are travel, books and music.
